I've started back into the lead pile, fed up with painting horse so for a change did a regiment of foot. The uniform is that of Sir Thomas Glemham's Regiment, although the flag is not, should be red but I liked the white/black scheme it seems to fit with the uniform.
The figures used are a right mixture, this regiment was cobbled together from the spares box - so there are Irregular Miniatures, Romanoff, Jacdaw mixed together with arm and head swaps. I had to convert some Irregular Miniatures 'Soldier with flaming torch' into pikemen, plus a couple of engineer figures into musketeers as well.
Splendid looking regiment - I take it that these are 40mm? I've had some medicenal gin so I'm not seeing too well!ReplyDelete
Yes they be 40mm figs.ReplyDelete
medicenal gin to keep you warm due to the cold weather I presume ?
Another good-looking unit, sir. What's next?ReplyDelete
Yes indeed! -14 degrees C tonight - we are not used to that here on the Emerald Isle (currently the frozen Isle)ReplyDelete
Very nice! I would never have guessed at the mixed origins, they fit together so well.ReplyDelete
next up for ECW to the painting table will be another regiment of foot.
