I've always had a soft spot for ECW, even at school it was my second main wargame period.
The uniforms are colourful and I like the pike and shot formations. Also its seems more immediate historically as you can easily vist the battlefields and read material from the period.
I don't know if you'll get this (since I'm typing a couple months after posting), but these fellows look wonderful.
As you know, I'm not anywhere near the UK . . . so I can't go visit the battlefields . . . but I'm just starting my research into the period . . . and it does seem to be a fascinating one.
I put out the units I have completed on my wargame table just to see how they look formed up.
Those are gorgeous. Quite impressive. Though I think it's evil of you to put another tempting period in front of me so well displayed.
