Getting the artillery ready ...

As I get closer to finishing the two armies, I thought I better ensure I had enough artillery and crew.

I put my larger guns aside for siege works and special scenarios. Each side will have a field battery...

I have 4 light guns , so two per side ... but a bit undermanned ....

so I tweaked a couple of Irregular Miniatures figures I had put away as spares and modified some of my homecasts...

These were duly painted up... now ready for action ...

Foot Escort for the Sedan Chair ....

I recently used up my last spare Sah&Sabre pikemen converting them to halberdiers with an officer. The halberd tops are from my own castings

I decided on a yellow uniform for them, here they are on escort duty ....

Sculpt and Cast - the riders ..

Have completed and tried out the moulds for the mounted figures, officer with psitol, ensign and trooper with sword. Enough done to form my first horse regiment of eight figures

 The moulds for the mounted figures are the last ones for the moment; future plans are to add a draught horse plus mounted and dismounted chap wearing a tabard (like musketeers or cardinals guards).

A tricky mould to do but the horse casts nearly right every time  😀;  sample casting ....

 there are a couple of imperfections but these can be filed off or holes filled with green stuff - no worse than any other home cast figure

Monrovian Foot Regiment - Von Punkel

Foot regiment von Punkel has mustered near the Monrovian capital ....

[The first regiment of my own figures (apart from the officer) painted and based up, I am very pleased with them - more moulds to make and quite a bit of casting to do. ]
