After the battle of Kettelwitz the Wittenberg army camped on the other side of the town and rested for a day. With all the troops ready to move again, the army set off down the main road towards the border burgh town of Rumsdorf (via Poswitz and Buckdorf).
The vanguard secured Poswitz and as the lead elements of the main body of the army reached the town it moved off down the road towards Buckdorf ...
---oXo---
The vanguard leave Poswitz....
Monrovian croats wait to spring a trap ....
The first unit of croats attacks the lead cavalry unit ....charging it in the flank ....
as the vanguard starts to react, the rest of the croats charge home .....
a unit of dragoons hit in the flank turn tail and the croats move on to attack the nearby horse regiments ....
the lead horse regiment beset on all quarters routs .... another regiment of dragoons holds their ground as well as the second horse regiment ...
the second Wittenberg horse regiment can't hold the croats and turns tail .....
the Wittenberg vanguard is in total disarray, most of the troops rout back towards Poswitz while a regiment of horse rallies ....
the croats disengage and move off down the road towards Buckdorf .....
a Victory for Monrovia
