Witttenberg foot regiment Von Milckau
the refurbishment of the foot regiments for Wittenberg gets off to a start, first one done is regiment Von Milckau with uniform in Duchy of Saxony civil guard from the early years of the TYW.
I've been referring to the most part to the Osprey books - Imperial Armies of the Thirty Years War, no.s 1&2 ( also there is the Army of Gustavus Adophus no.s 1 & 2)
Eduard Wagner’s European Weapons & Warfare 1618-1648, is worth getting - for all the general info on arms, equipments etc.
A couple of free history online books which are useful for background reading
The History of the Thirty Years' War by Friedrich Schiller http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/6775
The Thirty Years' War, 1618-1648 by Samuel Rawson Gardiner http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/40082
I'm still building up reference material as I go...
